Why does the rich government authorities still have not done much to mitigate old people from working?
I see too many 60-80 years old people slaving around and it just makes me feel like hitting those rich fat arrogant ignorant annoying “actors”.
All those people ever think of is to act upon a situation only when they know that their seats can be taken up or when someone has rocked their boat way too violently.
Acting all nice in front of the media, but, yet their actions can be seen so clearly in the open.
Yet, I still have no idea why the old people still vote for those actors.
Wake up.. this group aren’t the same as the old group of valiant guys who brought Singapore up to her feet.
They still get millions of dollars as salary even when they get old.
They’ve been blinded by the reality outside of their window.
Why can’t all these rich people just be stripped down to nothingness for a week with just enough money to survive?
And just freaking see and feel the world as it is.
Be in the shoes of those old and poor people and do something to help.
Everything is about paying.
What do they give back to the people?
Probably a measly $200 a year, which comes in just before an election?
Asking for a sorry plight thank you.
I want to get out of this country before I get too old, if this goes on.
Who’s gonna pay for my bills if I’m unable to work when I’m too aged?
No savings is ever enough.
Our savings will be sucked dry by the projects they implement.
What in the world is our CPF for anyway?
We have to use every cent of it to pay for the expensive small box we live in which we can never own.
Why do we have to pay for their fat cheques whilst they idle around and come out only when they need to?
I wanted to say that Singapore MDA (Media Development Authority) enforced a regulation starting 1st June on the news.
The new rule stipulate that websites which have at least 50,000 unique visitors from Singapore every month and publish at least one local news article per week over a period of two months must obtain an annual license.
But websites granted a license will have to remove “prohibited content” such as articles that undermine “racial or religious harmony” within 24 hours of being notified by the authority.
What a load of nonsense.
This not only affects the big guys like Yahoo and Google, but, also bloggers and start-ups/entrepreneurs who significantly rely on the online stage on these.
Their motive is probably to block out the rest of us from speaking of the truth.
One after another, a problem is created.
I don’t think there’s any issue of racial or religious harmony being disrupted here.
We’ve been staying kiasu together for years.. whatever our race, creed or religion.
Sure, as any normal person, there will be some issues, even close-knitted families have those moments.
Sure, there’s the talks and arguments on foreigners vs the locals (but that’s the consequences of one of their regulations too).
It’s about the locals and them.
Do they really have to go even further with more drastic measures and move forward with this?
