RO2 Noel Intro & Skills

I came across an ad on the Noel in RO2 just now.
So, I started probing around to see what it’s all about.

 

 

The Past

Noel is a combination of the Ellr (small child-like elves) and Dimago (tall humanoid demons) races from Ragnarok Online 2: The Gate of the World.

What happened to The Gate of the World?
After entering a closed beta testing phase in 2006 and continuing through 2010 in Korean open beta testing, the game was reworked multiple times due to its poor initial reception.
In July 2010 it was announced the entire game had been scrapped, and a new version, Ragnarok Online 2: Legend of the Second, would be developed in its stead.

 

 

The Launch

Asiasoft’s RO2 will launch Noel on the 4th of July!

Do download the patch early because

1: there will not be any auto-patch, as mentioned in the website (as of now)
2: the password to open the file will only be on the main website on the day itself (4th July) @ 10am on their facebook.
3: it’s huge in size @ 4GB
4: so, it will take ages to get your program patched up, with so many people trying to download it at once + more people logging into the server at once

 

 

About Noels

Unless you’ve already tried Korea’s RO2 Noel, there isn’t much information out there to be shared.

While Normans are the main race of the world of Midgard.

Normans can change into the following 1st Class Jobs:
Swordsman, Acolyte, Thief, Magician and Archer.

Noels are a recently discovered RACE in Midgard and seem to be descendants of demons.

Noels are diminutive, much shorter than the average Norman.
Both male and female Noel feature horns on their heads with the male’s positioned vertically and the female’s positioned horizontally.

Noels can change into the following 1st Class Jobs:
Alter

Then, advancing to a Crescentia or a Soul Maker once you hit level 25.

Crescentias can be developed into either a Crescentia of Order or a Crescentia of Chaos…
Soul Makers can be developed into either a Soul Maker of Order or a Soul Maker of Chaos..
Depending on how players work the Khara System.

The “doll-like companion” is your off hand equipment like quiver(ranger) and shield(knights).

Upon creating a new Noel character, you will be spawned in a unique town.
In addition to obtaining unique quests exclusively for the Noel class.

Illusion Blade

Chain skill and ground wide area to utilize their skills to multiple skills that can limit the damage at the expense of the target at the same time the behavior exists, and using a wide area specializing in the battle unfold.

Uses the physical manifestation of Root of Darkness. Increases damage and movement speed of caster by 10% and decreases all damage taken by 5%. Soul Maker: Masters of the Soul

[Features 1]
1:1 or 1: a large number of targets in the buff granted by strengthening the capacity of the target, or moribund, self-recovery, escaped death, and through the ability to exert a variety of mental rapport with the target.

[Features 2]
Fluid battle over the control of movement speed debuff channeling attack using skills, and simultaneously, weakening the ability of the target to proceed to a single destination, and no fatalities from the vantage continue the fight.

[Features 3]
Behavioral control of yourself and the target, or out of the state is responsible for the survival of the party members, using a series of party or raid combat various recovery skills (continuous dot-chain-type wide-area recovery, recovery, recovery, beads, etc.) to summon. Invisible picky, making the presence of the enemies at the same time stunned by enemies navigation technology in favor to lead the battle.

[Features 4]

Soul Maker’s Skills

Soul Extinction inflicts magic attack damage and DoT for 10 seconds.

Exploitation absorbs the souls of everyone within a 5-meter radius to increase your intelligence for 30 seconds. You can absorb up to 5 enemy souls at a time and for each soul it increases INT.

Restore heals a friendly target by a percentage of your magic attack.

When Soul Extinction Mastery skill is active, movement is delayed for a certain amount of time.

Impositio Manus increases Physical / Magical Damage of all Party and Raid members by a percentage for 30 minutes.

Restoration heals up to 5 party members within 10 meters by a percentage of your magic attack. The heal decreases by 5% for each additional target.

Mental Breakdown inflicts Magic Attack damage on up to five enemies. Damage is reduced by 10% for each additional target.

Transpersonal increases the Critical Power of the whole party by a percentage for 30 minutes.

Cure heals the target for a percentage of your Magic Attack every 2 seconds for 30 seconds. The heal amount is increased by 3.5% every 5 seconds.

Soul Extortion inflicts Magic Damage for 5 seconds and reduce target’s movement speed by 50%. Can target up to five enemies. The effect is reduced by 10% for each additional target.

Soul Link: Concentration increases the Haste and Vigor of the raid team with in the radius by a percentage for 5 mintues and 5% for critical.

Dispel gives a chance to remove a status effect. On seaRO2 and iRO2, this skill is misspelled as Dispell.

Death Spell inflicts Magic Attack damage to up to 10 enemies in a 5 meter radius around you. Soul Injection debuff will be applied.

Soul Link: Balance increases the Physical and Magic Attack of your allies for 5 minutes.

Detection: Detect all enemies that you can’t see within a 10-meter radius and has a chance to stun the target for 3 seconds.

Sacrifice takes 10% of your max HP to deal damage for a percentage of your Magic Attack and stun the enemy for 3 – 4 seconds. Using this skill can kill you.

Cure Pearl casts 5 heal beads around five allies to heal by absorbing damage by a percentage of your magic attack.

Awake: Soulmate transforms yourself to light form. Your Attack and Movement Speed will be increased by 10% and Vigor by 5%. Whenever your skills crit, allies that are 10 meters around the target will be healed by a percentage.

Soul Link: Revive allows Your party to receive less damage and heals a percentage more for 5 minutes. Every critical will grant you additional percentage of heal.

Immunity inflicts Magic Attack to an enemy and heals a percentage of Magic Damage of all allies within 20 meters around the target.

Soul Link: Devotion binds you to an ally for 5 minutes. A percentage of their received damaged will be dealt to you instead. Whenever you receive damage you will be healed for 10% of your Magic Attack. If your linked ally is near dead instead of dying it will get 10% of your max HP and the link will be destroyed.
